Annual Hot Foot race- Results and Photos

14th Apr 2017

This years Hot Foot Race, an annual run around the streets of Chapel Allerton, was another great success with some lightening quick times recorded.

The 3.35mile run, which takes in the hilly roads of the local area including the infamous climb up Gledhow Lane, has been taking place since 1961 and it always creates a buzz of competition between members.

This year the spoils went to Bobby Pearson and Grace Newton with Bobby Pearson winning both the men’s event AND the coveted Bat Out of L trophy. Something which hasn’t been done since 2005! His winning time of 20:06 was the fastest since 2009. Grace Newton won the ladies event finishing in 27.10 and taking nearly 2 minutes off her 2016 time.
