National Tennis League – First home match

Chapel A National Tennis Team comprising Joe Jeynes, Ben Harris, Rob Barrett and Kevin Meeks faced a strong Carnegie side who are favourites to win the League this year. Carnegie’s side included Peter Ashley who plays full time  and the ITF Futures Tour, Nikita Kushinev, Paul Johnson and Andy Atkinson. Carnegie won 4-0 but there were some good performances from Ben and Kevin, Ben Harris playing in his first NPL match – losing 2-6, 5-7 to their number 1 pair. Chapel A were captained by Mike Dixon , director of the NPL league.
